Feed The Children

On a 93° Friday afternoon August 17th, the West Oklahoma City Rotary Club escaped the heat and had the privilege to serve Feed The Children, putting into action President Todd Krout's vision of a monthly Service Above Self project. We rocked it out in the air-conditioned warehouse at Feed The Children to music fitting for the occasion. In a short 2 hours our team of ten packed 361 boxes weighing 5,415# of household and hygiene products meeting the needs of disenfranchised families in Dallas, Texas! Kevin Richardson, Special Markets Director for Feed The Children and member of the West Oklahoma City Rotary Club led the charge stationed at the front of the line with tape machine in hand, sealing box bottoms. Ryan Cross, past president of West Oklahoma City Rotary Club was situated at the opposite end sealing the tops and loading the 15# filled boxes on pallets.
