The "Keep OKC Big League" campaign launched on Thursday in an effort to gain support for a new arena and ensure the Thunder will continue calling Oklahoma City home.

The community coalition behind the campaign is led by Mayor David Holt and Greater Oklahoma City Chamber Chairman Sean Trauschke.

They're pushing for voters to approve the extension of a temporary one-cent sales tax to help fund a new arena in downtown.

“Our community has a very clear choice on December 12,” said Mayor David Holt. “We have the opportunity to secure the presence of the Oklahoma City Thunder and the NBA for another generation, and to make Oklahoma City a stronger destination for the best touring concerts, shows and other events. To that question, I say yes.”
