Student/Teacher of the Month
Once upon a time, in the bustling city of West Oklahoma City, a group of dedicated Rotarians came together with a vision to make a positive impact on their community. The West Oklahoma City Rotary Club members, known for their unwavering commitment to service, compassion, and education, decided to take their efforts to a whole new level.
During a Rotary Club meeting, an idea was born. Inspired by Rotary International's theme for the year 2023-2024, "Creating Hope in the World," the West OKC Rotary Club decided to launch a new initiative to honor outstanding students and teachers in their community.
The West OKC Rotary Club proudly presented a startup donation to the newly established Western Heights High School Interact Club. The event brought together key figures from the Western Heights School District, including Dr. Savage, Superintendent, and Meggan Wilson, Assistant Superintendent and Rotarian. The celebration also was attended by Mrs. Kandy Hunt, Principal of Western Heights High School, and Ms. LaTonia Moore, former Interact Advisor, who was accompanied by three enthusiastic new Interact members.
